Put quite simply, Tara Donne photographs the things she loves: food, kids, friends, and beautiful locations. She was raised in the countryside but currently resides in a stylish little apartment with lots of natural light and a fancy stove in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Trained as a fine art photographer, Tara started her career as a photo editor at Martha Stewart, Real Simple, and domino. Upon being recognized in PDN’s 30 Photographers to Watch in 2006, she went back to her roots as an image-maker and entered the commercial photography world full time. In addition to PDN’s 30, she was also featured in Communication Arts' Fresh Column in 2008 and in American Photography 28 (2012).
Tara has a true vision that is fresh, honest, and relevant. She is a creative collaborator, working repeatedly with top creative talent in both the commercial and editorial arenas. She especially loves to create images that feel as though they have a story outside of the frame. Her favorite moments are the ones in between.
